Article 1. Purpose of the Regulations
These regulations aim to govern participation in Grava Lybica – Gravel d’Alçada, establishing the conditions, rights, and obligations of both participants and the Organization.
Registration and participation in the event imply full, express, and unconditional acceptance of these regulations.
Article 2. Definition and Nature of the Event
Grava Lybica is a high-altitude gravel event, non-competitive in nature, based on self-sufficiency, adventure, individual responsibility, respect for the natural environment, and coexistence with local communities.
It consists of two stages starting and finishing in Llívia, to be held on July 18 and 19.
There is no overall classification, official timing, categories, or sporting podiums.
Article 3. Organization
Grava Lybica is a cycling event promoted by the City Council of Llívia and co-organized by the CYCLING SPORTS SECTION of CERETANA D’ACTIVITATS DE MUNTANYA SL, with Tax ID (CIF) B55330252, registered office at C/ Beates, 18, Puigcerdà (17520), Girona, and contact email info@gravalybica.cc.
Article 4. Registration and Included Services
Registration must be completed through the official Grava Lybica website, which redirects to the RockTheSport platform. A registration will only be considered valid once the registration fee has been paid. Pre-registration with payment upon bib collection is not permitted.
Registration fees are as follows:
100 euros VAT included, for the first 50 registrations completed or until March 31, 2026 at 23:59 (Spanish mainland time).
120 euros VAT included, for registrations 51 to 200 or until May 31, 2026 at 23:59 (Spanish mainland time).
140 euros VAT included, for registrations 201 until sold out or until July 13, 2026 at 11:00 (Spanish mainland time).
Registrations are FINAL. In the event that a registered participant is unable or unwilling to participate, the registration fee will not be refunded. Registrations are strictly personal and non-transferable and may not be used by any person other than the registered participant. Participant substitutions and transfers to future editions are not permitted.
Participants who do not collect their bib on the event day may collect the official T-shirt at the Per Tot store until August 31, 2026.
The registration includes:
Participation rights for both stages
Official digital track
Identification bib number
Official T-shirt
Aid stations
Medical assistance
Sweeper vehicles
Accident and civil liability insurance
Access to official La Foguera activities
Registration does not include accommodation or personalized mechanical assistance.
The Organization cannot guarantee the requested T-shirt size for participants registering after June 1, 2026.
In the event of expulsion or withdrawal from the event, the registration fee will not be refunded in whole or in part.
Article 5. Minimum Age
Participation is strictly limited to individuals who are 18 years of age on the day of the event. Minors are not allowed under any circumstances, even with parental authorization.
Article 6. Insurance
The Organization provides collective accident insurance for all registered participants, as well as civil liability insurance in accordance with applicable regulations.
These insurances do not imply any assumption of liability beyond what is legally required of the Organization, nor do they replace the participant’s individual responsibility during the event.
Article 7. Bib Collection
Bib collection will take place at Parc de Sant Guillem on Friday, July 17, from 18:00 to 20:00 and saturday 18 from 07:00 to 07:30. Participants must present valid identification (ID card, NIE, driver’s license, or passport).
To collect a bib on behalf of another participant, a photocopy of the participant’s ID and a signed authorization must be presented.
Resale of registration rights and participation using another person’s bib may result in penalties for both seller and buyer, and legal action may be pursued against both parties.
Article 8. Mandatory Equipment
Participants must start the event with the following mandatory equipment:
Approved helmet (mandatory at all times)
Bicycle in perfect mechanical condition
GPS device with official track loaded
Operational mobile phone with sufficient battery
Adequate hydration system
Sufficient nutrition for the stage
Basic repair kit (tube, tools, pump or inflation system)
Official identification document
Emergency thermal blanket
The Organization reserves the right to verify equipment before the start or during the stage.
Failure to carry mandatory equipment may result in refusal to start, sanction, or expulsion.
Article 9. Start Procedure
The start will take place at 8:00 a.m. from Parc de Sant Guillem in Llívia.
Participants will be organized into different start waves according to the average speed indicated during registration.
Subject to authorization by the competent authorities, the start will be staggered with several minutes between waves.
The event will be conducted under the supervision of the relevant traffic and safety authorities, and participants must comply with all instructions at all times.
Article 10. Stage Schedule and Development
Official schedules for each stage (check-in, starts, activities, and closure) will be published in advance through official channels.
Although there is no sporting time limit, each stage will be considered closed 8 hours after the official start of Stage 1 and 7 hours after the official start of Stage 2.
After this time, volunteers and safety services will be withdrawn, and the Organization cannot guarantee assistance or coverage. Participants who continue on the course do so at their own responsibility.
Article 11. Self-Supported Format and External Assistance
Grava Lybica is a fully self-supported event. Each participant is responsible for their hydration, nutrition, navigation, mechanical equipment, and personal safety. Carrying water bottles and/or a hydration system, sufficient food, basic repair tools, and a GPS device with the official track is mandatory.
The Organization will provide one aid station per stage with local products as complementary support, which does not replace participant self-sufficiency.
Organized external assistance and support vehicles along the route are not permitted. Only unplanned assistance in publicly open establishments (bars, shops, gas stations) or from other participants is allowed.
The following are not permitted:
Planned logistical support at specific points
Pre-positioned material along the route
Motorized accompaniment
Participation with electric bicycles (e-bikes)
Violation of these rules may result in expulsion.
Article 12. Route and Navigation
The routes are not physically marked. Each participant is responsible for carrying the official track loaded onto their GPS device. There will be no live tracking provided by the Organization.
In case of navigation error, participants must return to the last correct point. The Organization is not responsible for navigation mistakes or route deviations.
Article 13. Timed Segments
The event includes two timed segments, one per stage, exclusively uphill, with a recreational and non-competitive character. These segments do not generate an overall classification nor have official sporting status.
The prize will consist of a selection of local products, awarded by lottery among the fastest 10% of participants (male and female) for each stage.
These segments do not convert the event into a race.
Article 14. Sweeper Rider (“Green Flag”)
The event will include an official sweeper rider identified as “Green Flag,” riding an electric bicycle (e-bike) and clearly identified as a member of the Organization.
This rider will mark the position of the last participant on course and indicate when services and logistical measures may be withdrawn.
Participants must respect the instructions of the “Green Flag.” Once the sweeper has passed a given point, the Organization may consider operational services closed in that section.
Article 15. Withdrawals and Disciplinary Rules
In case of withdrawal, participants must notify the Organization by phone.
In case of accident, participants must prioritize safety, contact emergency services if necessary, and inform the Organization as soon as possible.
Failure to communicate withdrawal may activate unnecessary search protocols.
Article 16. Safety, Open Roads, Assumption of Risk and Liability
Grava Lybica is a non-competitive sporting event held on open public roads in both Spanish and French territory, without full traffic closure.
Participants act as ordinary road users and must comply with traffic laws and local regulations at all times.
Participants declare under their sole responsibility that they are in adequate physical and health condition, have the necessary preparation and experience, and do not suffer from any medical condition contraindicating participation.
Participants voluntarily assume all inherent risks, including but not limited to:
Falls and collisions
Traffic accidents
Navigation errors
Adverse weather conditions
Extreme fatigue
Sudden medical events
Presence of animals or other road users
The Organization acts solely as coordinator of the planned event services and does not guarantee road safety nor act as a medical provider.
Participants expressly release the Organization, sponsors, collaborators, volunteers, and staff from liability for personal or material damages, except in cases of proven gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Registration implies full acceptance of this clause.
Article 17. Environmental Respect
Grava Lybica promotes responsible and respectful cycling.
It is strictly prohibited to litter, leave designated paths, damage flora or fauna, or engage in dangerous or disrespectful behavior.
Violation may result in immediate expulsion.
Article 18. Cancellations, Modifications and Force Majeure
The Organization may modify, neutralize, shorten, or cancel the event due to adverse weather, wildfire risk, official alerts, orders from authorities, or any condition compromising safety.
If cancellation occurs before the start, the registration fee will be refunded minus management costs. If one stage has been completed and the second is cancelled, no refund will be issued.
The Organization reserves the right to amend these regulations without prior notice.
Article 19. Image Rights and Data Protection
Participants authorize the use of their image (photos and videos) for promotional, informational, or commercial purposes without time or territorial limitation.
Personal data will be processed by CERETANA D’ACTIVITATS DE MUNTANYA SL in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Data Protection Law.

Registration implies express acceptance of this policy.
Article 20. Languages and Interpretation
These regulations are available in Catalan, Spanish, English, and French.
In case of discrepancy, the Catalan version shall prevail.
Article 21. Final Acceptance
Registration for Grava Lybica implies having read, understood, and fully accepted these regulations.
